The main aim of the interlaboratory comparison studies on detection of Salmonella is to evaluate the performance of the NRLs-Salmonella for their ability to detect Salmonella in different matrices in the presence of competitive microorganisms. For this, the EURL-Salmonella provides per study detailed procedures in a protocol and a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
